Overview

As an Apprentice Service Advisor at Group 1 Automotive you will be welcomed into a friendly team and have the opportunity to work with an exciting brand. 

What you will be doing?

Service Advisors are key to the Dealerships success and exceptional levels of customer service to those customers who bring their vehicles to our Service Departments. The Apprenticeship is geared toward training the next generation of fully-fledged super stars. Tasks will include:

Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner throughout the day.

Booking vehicles into the technical workshop.

Liaising with the technical workshop to keep track of the vehicles’ progress and ensuring the vehicle is ready at the promised time.

Adopting a sales approach regarding upsell.

Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.

Apprenticeship Scheme

This position will be part of the national apprentice scheme, so you will also be working towards your level 2 and level 3 NVQ in customer service. This is two-year apprentice scheme, with basic salary in line with the government recommended salary for a year one, and year two apprentice. 

A typical working week could be 40 hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, however each of our Retailers will have different requirements. 

All learners will be required to work the minimum apprenticeship duration of 30 hours per week. At least 20% of your working hours will be allocated to 'off-the-job' training.

Entry Requirement

Age: 16+ 

Prior Attainment: A minimum of GCSE grades A – C (new grades 9 – 4) or equivalent in English, Maths and Science. 

Standard Grades 1-4 and Intermediates are also accepted.
