What you’ll do day to day

  • Manage and reconcile daily cash, card, and bank transactions
  • Maintain and balance till accounts with a high level of accuracy
  • Prepare daily banking and ensure vehicle deposits are processed in a timely manner
  • Post receipts and payments into the accounting system
  • Support month-end and year-end cash reconciliations and reporting
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve payment queries
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the wider Finance team

Helpful skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cashiering or finance-related role is essential
  • Automotive industry experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong numerical, reconciliation, and organisational skills
  • Accurate and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Confident, professional communicator able to handle queries effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using accounting systems such as Sage, Kerridge, or similar
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
