The Group Porsche Used Car Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing pre-owned Porsche vehicles to meet the group’s stock requirements across all sites. This role ensures that each dealership maintains an optimal mix of high-quality, profitable vehicles that align with brand standards, customer demand, and group performance targets.

What you’ll do day to day
- Source and acquire high-quality pre-owned Porsche vehicles through part-exchange, trade, auction, direct purchase, and digital channels.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify profitable buying opportunities that meet Porsche Approved Used and Group stock profile standards.
- Manage group-wide inventory, forecasting and balancing stock levels across sites to maximise turnover, margins, and minimise ageing or depreciation.
- Control pricing and valuations, using CAP, Glass’s, auction data, and insight tools to appraise vehicles accurately and negotiate the best terms.
- Maintain compliance and relationships, ensuring full documentation accuracy (V5s, MOTs, HPI, service history) and clear communication with dealership and group management.
Helpful skills and qualifications

- Expert knowledge of Porsche models, specifications, and brand standards, with 3-5 years’ experience in premium or performance used car purchasing.
- Skilled negotiator with commercial awareness and strong interpersonal ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, confident using valuation systems (CAP, Glass’s, Auto Trader Insight) and interpreting market data.
- Organised, proactive, and results-driven, capable of managing multiple sites, deadlines, and stock targets simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
- Strong communication and reporting skills with full UK driving licence and understanding of used-car pricing models, residual values, and compliance.
