Working as a Van Sales Driver, you’ll be a key part of our Trade Parts operation, ensuring our customers receive the right parts, on time, every time. You’ll use your excellent communication and organisational skills to support customers face‑to‑face and over the phone, delivering an outstanding level of service that reflects the TPS brand.

What you’ll do day to day
- Deliver and collect parts efficiently, ensuring all items match the invoice, resolving discrepancies with the Warehouse team, and completing all delivery documentation including driver logs and the delivery whiteboard accurately.
- Load all parts securely and efficiently onto the van, obtain authorised signatures and printed names for all deliveries, and return cash credits to customers in line with Operations Manual processes.
- Provide a professional, courteous delivery service, maintaining high standards of customer service, communication and TPS brand representation, including personal appearance and vehicle presentation.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes, share route plans with the TPS team, act safely and within driving guidelines, and report any customer complaints immediately to the Sales Manager.
- Build strong relationships with customers, share current promotional messages, stay updated on campaigns, seek additional sales opportunities, feed sales intelligence back to the Sales Manager, and ensure all van sales are logged correctly.
- Follow all business, financial, safety, and operational processes including cash handling, manual handling, vehicle payload limits, PPE use, accurate logs, and maintaining the van mobile phone for communication.
- Carry out regular vehicle checks including tyres, fluid levels, cleanliness and roadworthiness; arrange servicing or repairs as required; economise on fuel costs by using the most cost‑effective fuel options; report any accidents or incidents immediately.
- Support the TPS Centre by assisting with picking parts, perpetual stock checks, keeping the workspace tidy, and completing training to continuously develop skills and maintain high performance.

- Strong customer handling skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Proven ability to identify and support sales opportunities and meet sales targets.
- Good communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Solid knowledge of the local area to plan efficient delivery routes
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items, following manual handling guidelines.
- Honest and trustworthy, particularly around cash handling responsibilities
- Holds a current and full clean driving licence.
